Nicholas Teller new CEO of E.R. Capital Holding

Hamburg, 28 March 2008 – With effect as of 1 August 2008 Nicholas Teller has been appointed the new CEO and partner in E.R. Capital Holding. Within this company, Hamburg based entrepreneur and shipowner Erck Rickmers consolidates his interests in the Nordcapital Group, E.R. Schiffahrt and equitrust AG on 1 April 2008.

Nicholas Teller, 48, has been a member of the board of managing directors of Commerzbank AG since 2003, where he is responsible for Corporates & Markets. He was previously responsible for the group’s shipping business, both as a regional board member and as head of the Northern German, Scandinavian and Eastern European regions. Teller is also supervisory board chairman of Deutsche Schiffsbank AG, a leading ship financing bank. “I am delighted that our team will be joined by Nicholas Teller, who is very experienced and successful in our diverse fields of business,” Rickmers said. “Nicholas Teller, along with the present management team, will further advance the expansive development of the Group in the years ahead,” he added.

The E.R. Capital Holding companies employ a total workforce of 2,750 ashore and at sea. Nordcapital, the investment company for German closed-end funds was established in 1992 and has realised an investment volume of some EUR 5.2 billion with equity capital in the volume of EUR 2.2 billion. E.R. Schiffahrt is the world’s second largest charter shipowner for container vessels and has a fleet of 126 vessels in service and under construction, accounting for an investment volume of around EUR 5 billion. The private equity company equitrust AG operates in the fund management and direct investment segments. It manages eight closed-end private equity funds with a volume of around EUR 220 million.
